Being, one of the UK’s oldest and largest disability charities and is part of a global alliance with over 200 members in 54 countries, The organisation works on the thematic areas – inclusive education, inclusive employment & livelihoods, youth leadership, advocacy, and research with the rights-based approach for persons with disabilities. Leonard Cheshire offers its services for Asian countries like India, Bangladesh, Srilanka, Nepal, China, Thailand, and Philippines with its South Asian Regional Office based out of Bengaluru, India.
Leonard Cheshire partners with Youth Hub in India to support diversity and inclusion aspects. It supports Youth Hub establish as an inclusive and accessible platform for both persons with and without disabilities, employers and other stakeholders in youth development. Along with Youth Hub, Leonard Cheshire will collaborate with stakeholders like training institutions, government organisations, skill councils, corporates, employers for economic inclusion of youth with disabilities. Especially, in the areas of profiling, training, skills development, training, workshops, on the job training/apprenticeships and placement opportunities for a holistic and inclusive delivery of online engagement towards career pathways.
